Meet the Elks Heads chef patron- Rob Harrison, the man behind our amazing restaurant.
Rob began his working career in his auntie’s restaurant and then moved on to work around the Hull and Beverley area – after a few years of wanting more experience and knowledge he decided to travel around Australia for a year, starting off in Sydney working his way up the east coast along to Melbourne in various kitchens.
Upon his return Rob became Sous Chef at the Michelin starred Pipe and Glass in South Dalton and was instrumental in the restaurant achieving many accolades for culinary excellence during his 8 years being there.
Rob then joined the Devonshire Fell in the Yorkshire Dales as Head Chef in early 2015 where he gained the accolade of achieving 2AA rosettes for his fine dining experience and food that spoke for itself – simple ingredients cooked perfectly.
Passionate about showcasing the finest seasonal produce and known for his ability to transform everyday seasonal ingredients into refreshingly original and deliciously innovative dishes Rob is delighted to be at the Elks Head and looks forward to welcoming you all.
